D and M were at Scout Camp last week with T's troop. Because their troop was so large the camp staff allowed them to take their trailer with all the gear into their campsite. D LOVES PEANUT M & M's - he always has a spare bag stashed somewhere (home, work, trailer) in case he should run out. Well the ramp to the trailer was down and they had several boxes with food toward the back of the trailer and a brand, spanking, new bag of M & M's stashed toward the front of the trailer just inside the side door (which was closed at the time).
D was sitting there relaxing in his camp chair, just minding his own business, when much to his surprise, a pesky squirrel comes tearing out of the trailer with his little cheeks puffed out! "Oh no you don't!" shouted D as he jumped from the chair and dashed to his precious M & M's! It was too late! That little critter had by-passed boxes of food, headed straight to the bag of yummy candy coated nuts, gnawed through the bag and got his year's supply of food. I can't remember D's exact quote - something about "violating his bag of M & M Peanuts!
The next day the little fellar was observed enjoying a blue M & M Peanut clutched in his little paws!
So Beware of Squirrels when you take M & M's to the great outdoors!
